| Mang Dub is Dub Reggae at it's best.
Borrowing from the styles of 70's Jamaican superstars, Mang Dub's
all-original instrumental dub will be sure to please Reggae fans
everywhere. Their style is reminiscent of Jamaican artists such
as: Lee 'scratch' Perry, King Tubby, Yabby You and Ras Michael to
list just a few. Dub music has never been more popular than today
as people worldwide rediscover it's hypnotic grooves and playful
vibes. The members of Mang Dub have captured the essence of this
through years of professional involvement in the Reggae industry.
J-Marr and SteveD are the core members: |

SteveD (keys & bass)
has backed more than a dozen popular Jamaican artists including:
Sugar Minot, Mikey Dread, Frankie Paul, Beres Hammond and the two-time
Grammy Award winning Beenie Man. He also produced and wrote several
tracks on Half-Pint's latest album "Legal
We Legal" and has done the same for several other local
artists. |
 |
J-Marr (bass & trombone)
was a member of Boston's Tribulations (Boston's best reggae band
nominee 1996) and later joined with the legendary, Grammy Award
winning Burning
Spear, touring world-wide as part of the Burning Brass horn

Mang Dub's first self-released, self-titled
CD has sold nearly 1000 copies across the U.S. by word-of-mouth
and at live shows. Also, Mang Dub's 5-Leaf Dub (released on an
Omni CD Compilation) is currently featured in the popular video
game "The
Untouchable"Copyright ©

the spirit of freedom, Mang Dub's entire music catalogue is always

Dub music is known for its 'break down to fundamentals'
approach to instrumentation and Mang Dub focuses deeply on this
often forgotten element. Penetrating bass lines, infectious organ
melodies, funky cross-stick action, haunting trombone lines and
surprise guest singers and players make for good meditation every
time!
